Flambourari
Flambourari is a beautiful historical village, one of the 43 of Zagori (Zagorohoria), in the prefecture of Ioannina. It belongs to the eastern part of Zagori and is built at an altitude of 1000 meters, on the slope of Tsouka Rosa mountain.
In recent years it has become a popular tourist destination. The visitor can admire the enchanting natural landscape as well as historic monuments such as the stone bridge, built in 1748.
ACTIVITIES – SIGHTSEEING
Beautiful at any time of year, Flambouri is ideal for many activities.
Hiking: Visitors will find beautiful paths for hiking in forests with rosemary, chestnut trees and beeches, next to running streams.
There are P paths linking important areas of Metsovo to Zagori.
Climbing: There are many different elevations with varying degrees of difficulty, others for experienced climbers and not only.
Cycling: Ideal for mountain bikes. Guests can see the water lily lake just 6 km from the village. The Monastery of Voutsas with the cultivated vineyards perched on the slopes of the mountain.
The church of Agios Nikolaos in Flambouri is built in 1774. Scout Campsite Center of 49 acres at an altitude of 1,190 meters.
